Twit2Fit

Bought a Gazelle Freestyle Elliptical machine, delivered last Friday. Put it together on Sunday, and spent about 15-20 minutes on it (was wiped out from the "work-out" of putting it together!). Yesterday and today I did 30 minutes on it.

I've also been leaving fried, greasy foods alone. Although I did have a hot dog yesterday, my meals have been mostly built around fresh fruit & vegetables. Had the urge to go out for a burger Sunday evening, but stayed home and had broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, carrots, and a whole grain bagel instead. Made some potato salad with light mayo, red bell peppers, sweet vidalia onions, celery, and carrots which will supplement meals this week. Lots of fresh fruit for breakfast with whole grain toast, and the same for lunch. I found a double fiber whole wheat bread available for $1 a loaf at the thrift stand at our open air public market, as well as some 8 grain bagels. Picked up some 95% lean turkey.

I hope I can keep it up this time.

Second week in, consistent with workouts, up to 10 minutes stationary bike, 30 minutes elliptical, 5 minutes bike. Besides Memorial Day, I have been doing well with diet.

I've noticed that keeping a journal not only helps me feel better and stay on track, but it also gives others inspiration. Keep it up Jack!
